The sustainable housing solution – Legos

The other night, my daughter and I watched what turned out to be one of the best shows we’ve seen all year.

James May, a British television personality, pursues the idea of constructing a Lego house out of absolutely nothing but, well… Legos. Not a small toy house, but an actual, life-size, livable house.

The show is amazing on many levels – the engineering, the architecture, the speed, the possibilities and the sheer fun (I mean, they are Legos, after all… and who doesn’t love Legos). They even make Lego furniture – including sinks and toilets.

One of the best parts of the show was also that it was done so it was very easy for my daughter to understand the science behind the building. And she already understood the coolness of Legos.

I’ve included the entire episode, which is broken into five parts on YouTube. Enjoy…
