Have you ever had an album that meant so much to you, that you loved so much, that struck all the right chords – emotionally, logically, spiritually – that you couldn’t describe to anyone else? You almost didn’t want to. It was so personal that you didn’t want to share it with anyone.

Ramona Falls’ first album, Intuit, is just that album. It’s a combination of the dynamic percussion, the beautiful piano, the vocals, the highs and the lows, the memories it evokes, the layered sound that makes it the perfect album. For me to explain it to others is like trying to describe the Grand Canyon.

And if I played it for you, you might think it’s horrible, or at least not that big of a deal. And you may be right. But it works for me.

Here’s a taste of it, called “Russia”:

Well, today, their new album, called “Prophet,” came out today. I’m scared to listen to it. I almost wish they hadn’t made anymore music. I’m just not sure how they could top the first, and I’m not sure I want to muddy my experience with the first with the new one.

But I’m going to put it on soon. I’ll report back on what I found. In the meantime, they’re going to be touring this spring, and if you can, I highly recommend you see them for yourself.
