I think in the 2014 adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol, Jacob Marley (or updated to Jak Marley) will not appear chained to boxes of all of his wealth.

Instead, I think he’ll be a guy in his mid-20s who’s tethered to his desktop computer by a pair of headphones that he can never remove.
